TINGKAT PARTISIPASI ANGGOTA KELOMPOK TANI DALAM PERENCANAAN PROGRAM PENYULUHAN PERTANIAN DI DESA PACAR KECAMATAN PACAR KABUPATEN MANGGARAI BARAT

Abstract

This study aims to determine the level of participation of farmer group members in the planning of agricultural extension programs and to analyze the factors influencing their participation in Pacar Village, Pacar District, West Manggarai Regency. The study employed a quantitative survey method using a multiple linear regression approach. The sample consisted of 52 farmers selected through purposive and random sampling from 14 farmer groups. Data were collected through interviews and questionnaires. The results indicate that the level of participation of farmer group members in planning agricultural extension programs falls into the moderately participative category, with a participation rate of 44%. The factors that significantly influence the level of participation are formal education, farming experience, and the intensity of agricultural extension activities, with a coefficient of determination (R²) of 0.70. Meanwhile, age and land size have a negative effect on participation. Based on these findings, it is recommended to enhance farmers' capacity through improved educational opportunities and more frequent agricultural extension activities. In addition, the active participation of farmer groups in the planning and implementation of extension programs is expected to improve the success of agricultural development in the region.
